AMD today introduced the latest version of the Adrenalin Edition software, which includes AMD Fluid Motion Frames 2 technology.
This advanced frame generation technology is designed to increase the number of frames per second and improve the smoothness of gameplay in a wide range of games. AFMF 2 is compatible with AMD Radeon RX 6000 and 7000 series graphics cards, as well as certain AMD Ryzen processors that have integrated Radeon graphics. The new version brings a number of improvements and customization options, including:
Optimizations with the help of artificial intelligence
AFMF 2 uses an AI-optimized algorithm to generate frames, resulting in better display smoothness. Also, new operating modes have been introduced that allow users to adjust settings according to their preferences.
Improved performance
The new "Performance" mode of operation reduces the load on the system, which allows smooth gaming and at a higher number of frames on a wider range of devices, including integrated graphics cards. This mode is now the default on supported AMD Ryzen processors with Radeon graphics.
Lower latency frame generation
AFMF 2 brings significant improvements in reducing lag when generating frames, regardless of settings, resolution or hardware used.
Additional upgrades
AFMF 2 now supports borderless full-screen mode on AMD Radeon RX 7000 and Radeon 700M series graphics cards, as well as games using Vulkan and OpenGL, further expanding the number of supported games. Also, interoperability with AMD Radeon Chill technology is enabled.
